Dr. Shirley Weber is the California State Assembly Woman for the 79th District in San Diego, CA
She is a former Professor and Chair of the Africana Studies Department at San Diego State University where she served for 41 years.

Dr. Weber's distinguished service as an elected official and effective leader
in the community and city of San Diego include: San Diego Unified School District- School Board Representative for District E, President of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa (Professional Educators),  and President of the National Council for Black Studies.
