In the Nguzo Saba Kuumba (Creativity) is a core element of all life and living.  The Saku represents the illumination of the spirit (Nobles, 2006) obtained from inspiration that manifests as one of humanities greatest gifts, Creativity.  In 2013 the first Community College committed to inspiring all students, at all levels, in all areas, was inspired by the courage and foresight of three Queen Mothers.  This project served as a model of what's possible when you know, not just believe, that anything is possible.  From their mission, vision and goals, came the naissance of this website, designed to ignite the Sahku in all of us on our Journey to Excellence (Jones, 2003). - Akirah
